I did it! I completed 23 Mobile Things. I have now completed three different 23 Things. I do occasionally go back and reflect upon what I learned and did during the different 23 things. It is interesting to see that some of the sites that I used no longer exist or have been purchased by different companies.
Some of my favorite Mobile Things involved creating something. I enjoyed Mobile Thing #13, where I went through the tutorial for creating a presentation in Haiku Deck. I can see students using this app. I also enjoyed Mobile Thing #14 which had me using Magisto to create a movie from photos. It was quick and easy.
During my Mobile Things adventure, I also discovered that someone has been using my email address to create accounts. Instagram (Mobile Thing #10) made it easy to disassociate my email from a profile that I hadn't created. The same thing happened when I tried to create a Wattpad account (Mobile Thing #12). I was also able to clean up that profile.
Would I participate in another 23 Things? Definitely!
Thanks to everyone who put together this round of 23 Things!

Mobile Thing #22: Discovering Apps
Who loves free apps? I do! I had to download the Apps Gone Free app for Mobile Thing #22. Upon initial use, the app is easy to use. I don't see any free apps that I want right now, but I will keep checking.
Mobile Thing #21: Free-for-all
Which app is my favorite? There are so many that I use for different things.
My favorite app for keeping myself current on the latest technology news is Mashable. For some reason, the app works better on my iPhone than my iPad.
My favorite note taking app is Evernote. I blogged about it for Mobile Thing #5. I love Evernote because it syncs across all of my devices. I use it professionally to take notes at my meetings, take pictures of things I want to remember or replicate, and record audio. You can add tags to make things easier to find, and you can organize your notes and items into notebooks.

Mobile Thing #20: Games
Playing games on an iPad is fun and can be educational. For Thing #20, I chose to download the ABC Ninja app and the Free Word Warp app. The ABC Ninja app would be fun for students learning how to recognize their letters. I had to make myself quit the Word Warp game, so I could post my thoughts on games. I'll be playing Word Warp after I finish my 23 Mobile Things.
Mobile Thing #19: Hobbies
Every spring I purchase flowers and plants for my garden from the Friends Plant Sale, which is usually Mothers Day weekend at the State Fair grounds. Because of my interest in gardening, I decided to download the MyGarden app. So far, I am not impressed. I can't find any of the plants that I have in my garden. Many of my plants are heirlooms. I then tried to find other gardeners from Minnesota. I only found two who were in the Twin Cities area, and we didn't have any of the same plants. I'll take another look at it another time.
Mobile Thing #18: Education
Yes, there are lot of apps for education. Working for an elementary school, I know about some of the apps on list for Thing #18. For this thing, I chose to download the Bill Nye app. I see elementary students using and enjoying this app. There are science related games and science experiments you can try at home with every day items.
Moblie Thing #17: Connecting to Community
I already have some of the apps listed under Thing #17: Connecting to Community. I use the Minnesota 511 app a lot in the winter to check road conditions and in the summer when I am heading north to check road construction. It is a handy little app to have. The MPR app allows me to listen to The Current.
The Minnesota State Fair app is great for finding those certain foods that you like to eat at the fair. For those who are directionally challenged like me, there is a map that will help you navigate to food vendors, merchants, or fun events. The app will be updated for 2014 on August 1st. Love it!
I decided to try out the Going Out app from the Star Tribune. I like how you can pick a movie and see movie theaters and times and locate restaurants near your current location.
